    Rep. Josh Cockroft is a strong Christian family man. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Jessica. Together, they have served in multiple ministry positions in youth & music ministry. Josh is currently the Executive and Worship Pastor for First Baptist Church in McLoud.

Josh was first elected in 2010 as one of the youngest State Representatives in State history as a 21 year old. He is currently serving in his fourth term for District 27 which covers mid and southern Pottawatomie County and Northern Cleveland County.

Rep. Cockroft currently serves on five House committees. He is the Chairman of the House Rules Committee and Chairman of the Special Investigative Committee. He serves on the Appropriations & Budget Committee, A&B Natural Resources and Regulatory Services Subcommittee and Transportation Committee.

In 2015 he was appointed by Speaker Jeff Hickman as Chairman of the Tourism and International Affairs Committee. He also served on the Natural Resources and Regulatory Affairs where he served as Vice-Chair for the 2012-2013 sessions. Additionally serving on the State Government Operations and the County and Municipal Government Committees, Rep. Cockroft has a passion for the issues facing our state as they pertain to effective and quality Government services for his rural and urban constituents.

He has also served on the House Leadership Team since 2013 as an advisor to the Speaker of the House and as a member of the Presiding Officer Team, presiding over the entire House of Representatives during its legislative sessions.

His policy and legislative works have focused on County and Municipal Issues, Public Safety, State Transportation Infrastructure, Rural and Agricultural Issues, Energy Industry Infrastructure, Healthcare reform, and Right-Sizing State Government. Over 100 measures which he has authored or co-authored have been signed into law by Governor Fallin. His desire is to bring accountability and accessibility to State government through honesty and integrity.

Rep. Cockroft lives on a ranch in Wanette with his wife Jessica, their daughters Kylie, Cassidy, and has another daughter on the way in January.
